DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPREHENSIVE ONLINE BODY, STORE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Abstract
This project focuses on the design and development of an Online Bookstore Management System (OBMS) that aims to streamline the process of buying and selling books. With the evolution of e-commerce, traditional bookstores face challenges that the OBMS seeks to address, such as limited operational hours and inventory access. The proposed system offers a user-friendly interface that allows customers to register, browse available books, and place orders from the comfort of their homes, significantly enhancing convenience and efficiency.
The system is developed using robust technologies including PHP for backend scripting, MySQL for database management, and HTML/CSS for the frontend. Key features include user authentication, book management for administrators, and an intuitive catalog for customers to explore. The project also incorporates risk assessment and ethical considerations, ensuring secure and reliable transactions. By utilizing a systematic approach for requirement analysis and design, this project promises to deliver a scalable and effective solution to modernize the book buying experience, ultimately contributing to the shift towards digital commerce in the book industry.
