Abstract

This study investigates the phytochemical composition and antibacterial efficacy of clove extracts against Nafcillin-resistant Klebsiella species. Phytochemical screening was conducted to identify bioactive compounds present in the clove extract, which are known for their medicinal properties. The antibacterial activity was evaluated using standard microbiological assays to determine the extract’s effectiveness in inhibiting the growth of resistant Klebsiella strains. Results demonstrated the presence of significant phytochemicals such as eugenol and flavonoids, which contributed to notable antibacterial effects. These findings suggest that clove extract holds potential as a natural alternative for managing infections caused by Nafcillin-resistant Klebsiella spp, highlighting its relevance in addressing antibiotic resistance challenges.
