Abstract

This study assessed the physicochemical characteristics and selected heavy metal concentrations of borehole water from the KIU, Njimtilo, and Moromti communities, with additional samples collected from locations A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2. The parameters analyzed included pH, turbidity, temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (EC), and the concentrations of iron (Fe), zinc (Zn), chromium (Cr), and cadmium (Cd). Results showed that the PH values(7.45-9.2) were generally within the WHO, NSDW, and USEP acceptable limits, except for sample A1(9.2), which was slightly alkaline. Turbidity values remained very low (
