Abstract

ABSTRACT This study explores the potential of hydrokinetic energy systems, focusing on the development and performance evaluation of a slanted-axis water turbine designed to convert water current energy into electrical power. The research investigates the relationship between turbine RPM (Revolutions Per Minute) and electrical power output, emphasizing the system's efficiency and adaptability to varying water flow conditions. Through experimental trials conducted in the Patani River, Nigeria, key parameters such as RPM, voltage, current, and power output were measured using conventional and improvised methods. The results demonstrate a positive correlation between RPM and power output, indicating efficient energy conversion. And also demonstrated that power
