MATHEMATICAL MODELING ON HEARING MECHANISM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The human auditory system is a complex sensory mechanism crucial for communication and safety. Mathematical modeling offers a powerful approach to understand its intricacies. This research aims to develop mathematical models to enhance understanding of the auditory mechanism, focusing on cochlear nonlinearities, complex auditory stimuli perception, and effects of hearing impairment, sound localization, and individual variability. The study employs interdisciplinary collaboration to bridge biology, acoustics, psychology, and neuroscience. Through analytical and numerical methods, the research explores wave propagation, cochlear mechanics, and wave behavior, deriving expressions for wave speed and analyzing their implications. The significance lies in improving diagnostics, treatment strategies, and technology for hearing disorders, ultimately enhancing quality of life.
