Abstract

Abstract This project focuses on the design of a steel pavilion using ProtaStructure software and ArchiCAD. The objectives were to create an aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound steel pavilion that meets both functional and visual requirements. ArchiCAD initially employed for the conceptual and architectural design phase. It allowed for the generation of detailed 3D models, enabling architects to visualize the overall form, spatial layout, and exterior appearance of the pavilion. Once the architectural design was finalized, ProtaStructure was utilizied for the structural analysis and design of the steel components such as simulation of different loading conditions, including dead loads, wind loads, and seismic loads. It provided in – dept analysis of the structural behavior of the steel members such as stress distribution, deflection, and stability. Based on the analysis result, then software assisted in the selection of appropriate steel profiles, connection details and reinforcement strategies to ensure the structural integrity of the pavilion.
