SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF MEDICAL WASTE ABBAGANARAM PRIMARY HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT
Abstract
this investigation highlight serious weaknesses in the Abbaganaram Primary Health Care Centers waste management procedures in Maiduguri. The implementation of safe practices is still insufficient because of insufficient enforcement of waste management policies lack of resources and infrastructure limitations even though healthcare workers have a moderate awareness of the risks associated with improper waste disposal. The study also emphasizes how support workers who frequently lack the necessary tools to safely handle hazardous waste bear an unfair amount of the burden. Comparing this study to others shows that similar issues are common in low-resource environments around the world where inappropriate waste disposal still poses serious risks to human health and the environment.
