Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable agricultural practices has led to the exploration of innovative technologies such as hydroponics integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT). This project focuses on the design and construction of an IoT-based hydroponic system aimed at promoting efficient, soil-less farming in limited spaces. The system automates the monitoring and control of essential parameters such as pH level, nutrient concentration, temperature, humidity, and water level using a network of sensors connected to a microcontroller and cloud-based platform. Real-time data is collected and transmitted for remote access via a mobile or web application, allowing farmers to optimize growing conditions and improve crop yield. The integration of automation and IoT ensures minimal human intervention, efficient resource utilization, and adaptability to urban and indoor environments. The successful implementation of this project demonstrates the potential of smart hydroponic systems in achieving food security and sustainable agriculture.
