Abstract

ABSTRACT A dynamometer is device used to measure the torque and rotational speed of an engine or motor. This project is aimed at testing the performance of an electric motor. The Key components include electric motor, load cells, tachometer, transformer, Dc rectifier, shafts, couple, speed sensors, power sensors and data acquisition systems, all meticulously calibrated to ensure reliable measurements across a wide range of torque levels and rotational speeds. Through rigorous testing and validation procedures, the dynamometer demonstrates high accuracy and repeatability, enabling engineers and researchers to assess motor performance with confidence. In summary, the developed dynamometer represents a valuable tool for the advancement of electric motor technology, facilitating innovation and optimization in diverse industrial and research settings.
