DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF IOT BASED AUTOMATIC CHANGEOVER SWITCH WITH SOLAR AND WIND ENERGY INTEGRATION
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The increasing demand for reliable and sustainable electricity supply has driven the integration of renewable energy sources into smart power systems. This work presents the design and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT) based Automatic Changeover Switch (ATS) with solar and wind energy integration. The system monitors Voltage and current levels from multiple sources—grid, solar, and wind—using Voltage and current sensors. A microcontroller manages automatic source selection, prioritizing grid power while seamlessly switching to renewable sources during outages or instability. A 20x4 LCD provides real-time display of input parameters, while IoT connectivity enables remote monitoring and control of power source selection through a mobile or web interface. The proposed system enhances energy reliability, reduces dependence on fossil fuels, and provides users with intelligent, flexible, and remotely accessible control of household or industrial power supply.
