Abstract

ABSTRACT This study begins with the deployment of seismic sources that generate waves penetrating the subsurface. These waves undergo interactions with various geological formations, and the resulting signals are recorded by a network of sensors strategically placed on the Earth's surface or subsurface. Data acquisition involves careful calibration of seismic instruments to ensure accurate recording. Subsequently, the recorded signals are processed using advanced algorithms to create a threedimensional image of the subsurface, revealing geological structures, composition, and potential fluid reservoirs. This abstract underscores the significance of seismic tomography in providing crucial insights for geological studies, resource exploration, and environmental assessments.
