Abstract

This study examines the impact of agricultural development on economic growth in Nigeria from 1986 to 2023. The research employs a time-series design using secondary data obtained from sources such as the Central Bank of Nigeria and the National Bureau of Statistics. Econometric techniques, including regression analysis, were used to analyze the relationship between agricultural output and gross domestic product. Findings reveal that agricultural development has a significant positive effect on Nigeria’s economic growth during the study period. The study concludes that increased investment and policy support in the agricultural sector are essential for sustainable economic development.
