Abstract

Dental crown flask is a sectional box like case in which a sectional mold is made of artificial stone or plaster of parts for the purpose of processing dentures or other resinous restorations. The fabrication of locally made dental crown flask in this research work involved collaboration with an engineer who applied technical expertise in producing the dental instrument. Different parts were produced and assembled to make the fabrication process possible. The research work focused on creating awareness about the fabrication of locally made dental crown flask for dental technology practice. The study also compared the locally fabricated dental crown flask with imported ones and highlighted the advantages of local production including affordability availability and suitability for dental laboratory use.
