Abstract

Reporting of electrical fault, appears much more difficult and time consuming in Modibbo Adama University, Yola. This project has solved this problem by developing a web based system that has the capacity to come up with a relatively affordable fault reporting system. And also the system will allow users to send complaints about electrical fault in the university by login in to the website. Several literatures related to this project has been reviewed and similar system that possess similar capabilities has been examined. Analysis of existing system was conducted which show that electrical fault are reported in written to hall officers to Dean Students Affairs or to Head of Department or Housing Officer then to Works Unit of the university. This take a lot of time hence the need for the new system. Waterfall model was adopted as the System Development Life Cycle approach for the development of the system. The software was coded successfully in python programming language to develop this system. The system works the way Facebook chats/messages works. All the replies can be seen inform of chart not on an email or phone number. It is also recommended that further design be undertaken to develop similar applications using android application, IOS and others.
