COMPARISON OF GNSS OBSERVATION TECHNIQUES ON SELECTED CONTROL POINT USING ROOT MEAN SQUARE METHOD AT FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, ADO EKITI
Abstract
Abstract
This study evaluates the accuracy and reliability of the Trimble Catalyst DA1 and DA2 GNSS systems in establishing geodetic control networks. The research compares data obtained from these digital receivers with traditional Total Station measurements and data from Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS). The assessment focuses on horizontal and vertical precision across different observation methods. Findings indicate that the DA2 offers significant improvements over the DA1 in initialization time and positional accuracy, making it a viable tool for high-precision surveying and mapping tasks.
