COMPARISM OF DIFFERENT ASPHALT MIX FOR LOW VOLUME ROAD
Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of granite dust mastic in enhancing the durability and safety of low volume roads. A mixed methods approach combining laboratory experiments and economic analysis was used in this research. Results show that incorporating granite dust mastic into asphalt mixtures increases road surface durability given the 5% asphalt mix by 30%, reduces maintenance costs by about 25% and decreases environmental impact by about 40%. The findings suggest that granite dust mastic is a viable solution for improving the sustainability and safety of low volume roads, with significant implications for transportation.
