PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF TIZETI WIRELESS NETWORK IN A CAMPUS ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
This study evaluates the performance of the Tizeti dedicated wireless broadband network at the College of Science, Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE). The aim was to assess the quality, reliability, and user satisfaction of the network within the campus environment. A mixed-method approach combining field measurements and user surveys was used. Performance parameters such as download speed, upload speed, latency, and signal strength were tested at the Physics Laboratory, Administrative Office, and Library. Data collected were analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. Findings showed that the Tizeti broadband network provided moderate to high performance, with most users rating the service as satisfactory. The study concludes that the dedicated connection is effective for academic applications and recommends regular monitoring and expansion to other faculties within the university.
