Abstract

Dental crown flask is a sectional box like case in which a sectional mold is made of artificial stone or plaster of Paris for the purpose of processing dentures or other resinous restorations. The fabrication of locally made dental crown flask in this research work involved collaboration with engineers who used their technical expertise to produce the dental instrument. Different parts were produced and assembled to complete the fabrication process. The study focused on creating awareness on the possibility of fabricating dental crown flasks locally using available materials. The findings also compared locally fabricated dental crown flasks with imported ones and showed that locally fabricated instruments are affordable accessible and suitable for dental laboratory use.
