Abstract

This study explored the impact of technological advancements, specifically blockchain technology and advanced data analytics, on forensic investigations in Nigeria. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of these technologies in enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of forensic investigations within the Nigerian public sector. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to a selected sample of forensic professionals across various sectors. The data were analyzed using both descriptive statistics and ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) with the aid of statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) to test the hypotheses. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between the adoption of blockchain technology and advanced data analytics and the effectiveness of forensic investigations. The study recommends the integration of these technologies into the forensic process to enhance the overall efficacy and reliability of forensic practices in Nigeria.
