DEVELOPMENT OF AN ENHANCED ADMISSION ENQUIRIES SYSTEM USING CHATBOT TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The increasing demand for efficient communication between educational institutions and prospective students has exposed the limitations of traditional admission enquiry systems. Manual responses, delayed feedback, and inconsistent information delivery often result in frustration and missed opportunities for both applicants and institutions.
This project focuses on the development of an enhanced admission enquiries system powered by chatbot technology. The system integrates Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to simulate human-like interactions, enabling users to obtain real-time, accurate responses to admission-related questions.
The research adopts a system development approach, incorporating requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation. The chatbot is trained using structured institutional data, allowing it to handle frequently asked questions, guide applicants through processes, and provide personalized responses.
Findings reveal that the chatbot significantly reduces response time, improves accessibility, and enhances user satisfaction compared to traditional enquiry methods. The system also minimizes administrative workload, allowing staff to focus on more complex tasks.
This study concludes that chatbot technology is a viable and scalable solution for modernizing admission enquiry systems in educational institutions.
