Abstract

Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) are vital for Nigeria's economic growth, yet many face challenges due to inadequate accounting and management systems. This study investigates the impact of these systems on fashion design SMEs in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Using a descriptive survey design and census sampling of 40 respondents, the study assessed system utilization and its effects on performance. Results indicate that both accounting and management systems are perceived as essential for improving financial tracking, reducing errors, and enhancing operational organization. Correlation analysis led to the rejection of null hypotheses, confirming that system adoption significantly improves performance.
