ESTIMATION OF THE VITAMIN CONTENT OF THE ETHANOLIC EXTRACT OF COSTUS AFER FRUIT
Abstract
This study determined the estimation of the vitamin content of the ethanolic extract
of costus afer fruit. Costus afer fruit was purchased from a seller in ogbete
market in Enugu. The study result showed that the value for ethanolic extract
vitamin A is 0.00925mg/ml and aqueous is 0.0426mg/l, ethanolic extract
Vitamin B1 is 0.336 mg/ml and aqueous is 0.325mg/l, ethanolic extract
Vitamin B2 is 0.0538mg/ml and aqueous value is 0.038, ethanol extract
Vitamin B3 value is 0.0.081mg/l and aqueous value is 0.0541mg/l, ethanolic
extract Vitamin C value is 0.0.0123mg/ml and aqueous value is 0.008mg/l
and that ethanolic extract Vitamin E value is 0.192mg/ml and aqueous value
is 0.273mg/l.
