DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF GSM WATER LEVEL MONITORING AND AUTOMATIC PUMP CONTROL SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Water level monitoring involves the continuous measurement and tracking of water levels in reservoirs, tanks, rivers, and other water bodies. One of the primary problems identified is the need for efficient, cost-effective, and reliable water level monitoring systems, especially in resource-constrained environments. The aim of this project is to develop a GSM-based water level monitoring and automatic pump control system that enhances the efficiency and reliability of water resource management
In this GSM-based water level monitoring and automatically pump control system, the Arduino Uno serves as the central controller, managing data from an ultrasonic sensor to monitor water levels and controlling the pump through a relay.
The system enables remote communication via a GSM module, allowing users to send SMS commands to check the water level. The ultrasonic sensor continuously tracks the water level, and the pump automatically turns off when a pre-set threshold is reached to prevent overflow.
This project is significant because it addresses critical challenges in water resource management by integrating GMS technology into monitoring and control systems. By providing real-time data and automated operations, the system improves the efficiency and reliability of water distribution networks. This advancement promotes sustainable water use practices, reduces operational costs, and sets a precedent for future innovations in smart infrastructure and IoT integration within water management.
