Abstract

This project focuses on the design and development of a backlit flex LED display board artwork for use in an industrial design studio. The aim is to create an effective visual display system that enhances presentation, communication, and aesthetic appeal within studio environments. The study explores the selection of suitable materials, LED arrangement, flex design techniques, and power supply integration to achieve optimal brightness and durability. A practical design methodology was adopted, involving conceptual sketching, material testing, fabrication, and assembly of components. The result is a functional and visually appealing display board that provides clear illumination and improves visibility of displayed artworks and information, even under low-light conditions. The study demonstrates that backlit LED display systems are efficient, cost-effective, and highly suitable for modern design studios. It concludes that such innovations can significantly improve visual presentation in industrial design practice. Recommendations were made for further improvement in energy efficiency and portability of the design.
