Abstract

The rise of digital technology has transformed communication methods across multiple sectors, including education. Traditional signage, often limited to printed posters, bulletin boards, and static displays, has served institutions for years. However, these static systems struggle to keep pace with the dynamic, fast-changing needs of modern academic environments, where timely communication is essential. In response, digital signage has emerged as a versatile solution that allows for real-time updates, engaging visuals, and a more sustainable, cost-effective approach to information dissemination. In educational institutions, especially within specific departments, effective communication plays a crucial role in keeping students, staff, and faculty informed and engaged. The Department of Fine and Applied Art, for instance, requires frequent updates on announcements, event schedules, exhibitions, and administrative notices. A digital signage system provides an efficient way to manage this flow of information while enhancing the visibility and identity of the department within the school. This type of system not only communicates essential information but also serves as a branding tool, allowing the department to project its values, achievements, and initiatives to a broader audience. The project " Digital Signage for Effective Publicity Design" was conceived as a solution to these challenges within the Department of Fine and Applied Art. The system is designed to display the departmental name prominently, along with up-to-date information and important notices. This approach aligns with the increasing demand for digital solutions in academic settings, where students and faculty are more accustomed to digital interactions. With real-time content management capabilities, the signage system eliminates the limitations of static signage by providing a dynamic, adaptable communication tool that can easily be modified to meet changing needs.
