Abstract

This study presents the development of an Online Recruitment and Promotion System for University of Cross River State to improve the efficiency of staff management processes. The system provides a digital platform that allows applicants to monitor the progress of their job applications, thereby reducing delays and improving accessibility to recruitment information. It also establishes a structured promotion mechanism where staff members can apply for promotion, upload required supporting documents, and receive objective, merit-based evaluation feedback. Furthermore, the system organizes job listings using filtering and search features that enable applicants to easily identify vacancies that match their qualifications and experience. A centralized database architecture is implemented to securely store recruitment and promotion records while protecting sensitive information from unauthorized access. The proposed system reduces the reliance on manual record keeping, minimizes errors, and improves administrative workflow. Overall, the online platform enhances transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency in the university’s recruitment and promotion management.
