DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF E-LEARNING SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The project focuses on designing and implementing an eLearning system, tailored for computer
science course. The primary aim of the project is to create an interactive and visual learning
environment that enhances active learning through the use of multimedia, web based resources
and visual presentation. The proposed system, enable student to download and access course
materials, view course videos and track their academic progress remotely. It also facilities real
time communications between students and lecturers, through features like watching, viewing
videos and commenting. Developed using, HTML CSS BOOTSTRAP using PHP and MySQL,
the system operates on a 3 tier architecture that promotes modularity and flexibility, ensuring
ease of maintenance and scalability. The successful implementation of this e-learning platform
addresses key challenges in educational content management, improve communications
between learners and instructors, and automate task like grading and course tracking.
Furthermore, the platform is equipped to adapt to future advancement in e-learning
technologies, making it a robust and reliable tool for institutions aiming to offer comprehensive
digital learning solution. Ultimately, the system has achieved its objective of creating an
efficient, scalable and secure learning environment, providing a solid foundation for future
enhancements.
