FABRICATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF FUELLESS GENERATOR
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project focuses on developing alternative source of electrical energy that operates without conventional fossil fuels. The aim is to design and construct a generator that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy using an electric motor, batteries, and a dynamo, thereby eliminating the need for petrol or diesel. This innovation seeks to provide cost-effective, eco-friendly, and sustainable solution to the persistent challenges of power supply and fuel scarcity in developing nations.
The project involves the design of a close-loop system where electrical energy from a rechargeable battery powers a DC motor, which in turn drives an alternator to generate electricity. The generated power is then regulated and partially redirected to recharge the battery, maintaining a continuous energy cycle. Key components include a DC motor, alternator, belt and pulley system, control switch, rectifiers and rechargeable battery.
Testing and evaluation of the constructed model demonstrate its ability to produce steady AC voltage output capable of powering small electrical appliances. The results indicate that, while initial energy input is required, the system can sustain continuous operation with minimal losses, offering a viable alternative to fuel-based generators. This project contributes to the advancement of renewable energy technologies and promotes environmental sustainability by reducing dependence on fossil fuels and minimizing carbon emissions.
