ABSTRACT
This study investigates the impact of agricultural co-operative in national development using Owerri Municipal Council as a case study. The impact of agricultural in the society becoming critically related to the survival of national government at large because of it's importance in the society. This research work is written within the municipal council in focus with the aim of examining identifying and analyzing the impacts of agricultural co-operative in national development in Owerri municipal council. The research work is sub-divided into five chapters. Data were generated through the primary and secondary sources of data, simple random techniques was used in the selection of sample. The researcher observed that the municipal council depends heavenly on Federal government, it steady of engaging in agriculture. The researcher finally recommends and suggested from the members and the nation benefit immensely from the activities of co-operative societies. Hence cooperatives help to alleviate poverty amongst it's members.
