Abstract

Abstract This study examined the influence of information and communication technology (ICT) on teaching and learning in secondary schools in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, and a total of 100 students were selected using systematic sampling techniques. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using mean statistics. The findings revealed that ICT significantly influences teaching and learning processes and enhances students’ academic performance. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, lack of skilled personnel, and poor power supply hinder effective utilization. The study concluded that ICT plays a vital role in improving teaching and learning outcomes. It recommended that government and stakeholders should provide adequate ICT facilities, training for teachers, and stable electricity supply.
