GREEN SYNTHESIS OF ZINC OXIDE NANOPARTICLES USING NAUCLEA LATIFOLIA FRUIT EXTRACT
Abstract
In this study, ZnO NP was synthesized was achieved through the utilization of Nauclea latifolia fruit extract. Characterization using UV-Vis spectroscopy indicated a maximum absorption at 379 nm for the ZnO nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction analysis of the plant-mediated ZnO nanoparticles confirmed the development of a hexagonal wurtzite structure and crystalline nature, with an average crystalline size of 31.25 nm. FTIR assessment exhibited band at 537cm-1, confirming the synthesized material as ZnO nanoparticles. The study reinforces the feasibility of employing straightforward, efficient, cost effective, an environmentally friendly methods for the bio-synthesis of nanoparticles. Moreover, it is suggested that the prepared ZnO nanoparticles will contributes to the growing field of green nanotechnology and underscores the significance of utilizing natural resources for sustainable materials synthesis.
