DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A JOYSTICK REMOTE-CONTROLLED CAR USING ARDUINO
Abstract
This project focuses on the design and implementation of a joystick-controlled remote-controlled car intended for use in hazardous environments and surveillance applications. The system is built around the Arduino Nano microcontroller, which interfaces with an NRF24L01 transceiver module for wireless communication, an L298N motor driver for controlling DC motors, and a joystick module for user input. The remote-control unit transmits navigation commands to the unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), which executes movements such as forward, backward, left, and right turns. The system is designed to be cost-effective, reliable, and suitable for applications where human presence is dangerous, such as in radioactive areas, bomb disposal, or border patrol. The prototype demonstrates successful wireless control within a specified range and provides a foundation for further enhancements including sensor integration.
