DETERMINATION OF THE QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE PHYTOCHEMICALS OF THE ETHANOL AND AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF COSTUS AFER STEM
Abstract
This study is on the determination of the qualitative and quantitative phytochemicals of the ethanol and aqueous extract of Costus Afer STEM. Costus afer stem was purchased from a seller in ogbete market in Enugu. The qualitative phytochemical result shows the presence of Saponin, moderate presence of flavonoid and the abundant presence of tannins, phenol and steroids.
