This study investigated the factors affecting preservation and conservation of library resourcesin Abu Ali Library College of Education Azare. The research is divided accordingtothechapters were chapter one contained introduction, historical background of the library, research

questions, research objectives and the operational definitions while the chapter two Particularly, it examined the overview of preservation and conservation of library resources. It alsostudiedthe causes of deterioration of library information resources, among which are: environmental, chemical, biological, human factors and natural disaster. Various preventive measures wereequally discussed. Dif erent problems facing preservation and conservation of library resourcesin Nigerian Academic Libraries were presented. Useful suggestions were also made to improvethe situation. Chapter three equally discussed the introduction part, population and samplesizeof the study, data collection instrument and how the instrument are used to gather thedata. However chapter is about the presentation and analysis of data collected which is in formtableand finally chapter five entails summary, conclusion and recommendation of the finding.
