Abstract

This study examines the impact of leadership functions communication, training, decision-making, and motivation on employee performance at Baze University. Using a quantitative research approach, survey questionnaires were distributed to 132 employees to assess their perceptions of leadership practices and their influence on workplace performance. The findings reveal that clear and effective communication significantly enhances employee engagement and productivity by fostering a transparent and supportive work environment. Training and professional development are also found to be essential in equipping employees with the necessary skills and knowledge, leading to improved efficiency and career growth. Furthermore, decision-making processes that involve employee participation contribute to higher job satisfaction and commitment. Motivational strategies implemented by leadership, including recognition, rewards, and work-life balance initiatives, play a critical role in driving employee enthusiasm and long-term performance. The study confirms that poor communication, insufficient training, poor decision-making, and low motivation all have a significant negative impact on employee performance at Baze University.
