Abstract

"TaskIt" is a mobile app created to help students manage their tasks, stay organized, and boost productivity. Many students struggle to keep up with their academic responsibilities and personal tasks, leading to stress and missed deadlines. While there are plenty of generic to-do list apps out there, they often lack features that cater specifically to students' needs. "TaskIt" aims to fill this gap by offering a simple, intuitive tool designed with students in mind. Built with Flutter for the front-end and Hive for local storage, "TaskIt" provides a lightweight, offline experience. We chose to remove online features like cloud storage and authentication to keep things simple and to ensure user privacy. The app focuses on helping students organize their tasks by category, set priorities, and track deadlines, all in an easy-to-use interface. The development process involved constant testing and refining based on user feedback to create a smooth experience. The results show that "TaskIt" helps students stay on top of their tasks and reduces the stress of missed deadlines. Users report that it’s made task management simpler and more manageable, leading to a noticeable improvement in their productivity. In conclusion, "TaskIt" offers a practical solution for students looking for a straightforward, privacy-conscious way to stay organized. It’s a tool designed to help students focus on what matters most and improve their overall academic performance, with potential for future enhancements based on user needs.
