Abstract

ABSTRACT In today’s fast-paced digital world, manual hotel reservation systems are increasingly becoming inefficient, error-prone, and outdated. This project focuses on the design and implementation of an automated real-time database management and control system for hotel reservations, using Binez Hotel Aba as a case study. The study identifies major limitations in the existing manual system, including data redundancy, double booking, poor record keeping, and time inefficiency. The proposed system introduces a centralized database that allows real-time updates of room availability, customer records, and booking transactions. It enhances operational efficiency, minimizes human errors, and improves customer satisfaction through faster service delivery. The methodology adopted includes system analysis, design, implementation, and testing using modern programming tools and database technologies. Results from the implementation show significant improvement in booking accuracy, speed, and data security. This project concludes that automation of hotel reservation systems is essential for modern hospitality businesses and recommends full adoption of computerized systems in similar establishments.
