DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A REMOTE-CONTROLLED MINI BOAT
Abstract
The production of a remote-controlled mini boat is an engaging and educational project that
combines aspects of engineering, electronics, and creativity where craftsmanship meets
technology to create thrilling aquatic research and studies, from the hull design to motor
selection and camera feedback, each step is meticulously executed to ensure optimal
performance and maneuverability to further enable the technology to be controlled remotely
in a considerable distance. Methods adopted involves a blend of traditional craftsmanship and
modern technology, where a CAD software is used in the drawing design of the boat’s hull to
further ensure sleekness and stability. Components like motors, propellers, and electronics are
carefully selected for power and efficiency. Assembly involves precise fitting parts, soldering
electrical connections and waterproofing sensitive components. Testing is crucial and often
done in controlled water environments to assess speed, maneuverability, and buoyancy. Finetuning the boat's steering and speed control ensures optimal performance. Safety precautions
are essential when handling tools and electronics. In conclusion, this project offers a handson learning experience, research studies and an opportunity for personalization, making it a
rewarding endeavor for enthusiasts of all ages.
