DATABASE SECURITY USING RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION (RFI) AND ROLE-BASED ACCESS CONTROL (RBAC)
Abstract
Database security is a growing concern evidenced by an increase in the number of reported incidents of loss of or unauthorized exposure to sensitive data. This research, therefore, is conducted to analyse database security using Radio Frequency Identification (RFI) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). The present system, their weaknesses and possible solutions were analysed. The RFI and role-based access control system was reviewed, as a better replacement for the biometric method for securing data in the database. The findings from the study, it was emphasised that the adoption of radio frequency identification and role-based access control system will not be regretted as it would rather be a help for effective security of data in the database.
