DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF GAS LEAKAGE MONITORING DEVICE FOR HOME USE
Abstract
Abstract
This project involves the design and construction of a gas leakage detector device. This design employs the breakthrough experience with the use of gas sensor device, microcontroller (PIC16F876A) Technology with some other passive components. Also it employs other gas sensor like GSM module, An LED display and a buzzer. The system was designed and also programmed for gas leakage monitoring and an Arduino microcontroller with a buzzer and an MQ2 gas sensor. The circuit contains a microcontroller MQ2 gas sensor buzzer, LCD display when the sensor detect gas leagae its transmit the information to the micro controller, while the microcontroller makes a decision and then forward a warning message to the user as alarm for decision and action to be taken accordingly. The focus or vision of this work is to propose advice that can detect gas leakage and alert the owner to avert problem due to gas leakages. The output of this research will be significant in averting problems associated with gas leakages now and in future
