Abstract

ABSTRACT This route survey aims to establish a viable connection between faculty of engineering and gate 4 (bukar mele) MAU Yola, enhancing transportation infrastructure and facilitating economic growth in the region. The survey employed a combination of reconnaissance, and field work to identify the optimal route alignment, using Total Station instruments to gather terrain information for longitudinal profiling. The results revealed a preferred 3.5-kilometer route with a 185.56-meter vertical elevation at the starting point 188.50-meter vertical elevation at the mid-point, and 191.88-vertical elevation at the end point. The survey also identified areas for road cuttings, fillings, and embankment constructions. Overall, the proposed route alignment minimizes environmental impact while ensuring safety and accessibility standards are met, paving the way for the design and construction of a durable and efficient transportation corridor.
