Abstract

This study examines the role of E-government in improving public service delivery with a focus on Lagos State Government. The research adopted a descriptive survey design and collected data from 55 staff members of selected government ministries and agencies using questionnaires. The study found that E-government significantly enhances efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of government services. However, challenges such as inadequate ICT infrastructure, low digital literacy, and resistance to technological change were identified as barriers to effective implementation. The study concludes that continuous investment in technology, training of staff, and public awareness campaigns are essential to maximize the benefits of E-government in public service delivery. Keywords: E-Government, Public Service Delivery, Lagos State Government, ICT, Efficiency, Transparency
