This study evaluates the nutritional knowledge and eating habits of young adults in selected tertiary institutions in Bauchi State, Nigeria. A cross-sectional survey design was adopted, involving students from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB), and College of Agriculture Bauchi (COAB). Data were collected using structured questionnaires assessing dietary habits, food choices, and nutrition awareness. Results revealed moderate nutritional knowledge among students, but poor eating habits characterized by frequent consumption of fast foods, skipping meals, and low intake of fruits and vegetables. The study highlights the gap between knowledge and practice and emphasizes the need for targeted nutrition education programs within tertiary institutions.
