THE EFFECT OF DA'WAH ACTIVITIES AMONG MUSLIM UMMAH AT SA'ADU ZUNGUR UNIVERSITY GADAU
Abstract
Abstract
This study examines the effect of Da’wah activities among the Muslim Ummah at Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau. Da’wah, which refers to the act of inviting people to understand and practice the teachings of Islam, plays a significant role in shaping religious awareness, moral conduct, and social cohesion within Muslim communities. The research investigates the various forms of Da’wah activities carried out within the university environment, including lectures, seminars, preaching sessions, and student-led initiatives.
The study adopts a descriptive research methodology, utilizing both primary and secondary data. Questionnaires and interviews were administered to students and members of Islamic organizations on campus to assess their participation in and perception of Da’wah programs. The findings reveal that Da’wah activities have positively influenced students’ religious commitment, ethical behavior, and sense of unity among the Muslim Ummah. However, challenges such as inadequate funding, limited coordination, and varying levels of student engagement were identified.
The study concludes that while Da’wah activities at Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau have made meaningful contributions to the spiritual and social development of the Muslim community, there is a need for improved organization and support to enhance their effectiveness. The research recommends increased institutional backing, better planning of programs, and greater student involvement to strengthen the impact of Da’wah activities on campus.
