IMPACT OF COMPUTER APPLICATION PACKAGES ON THE PERFORMANCE OF OFFICE PROFESSIONAL IN SELECTED ORGANIZATION IN KADUNA METROPOLIS
Abstract
The study set out to determine the impact of computer application packages on office professionals' performance in selected organizations in Kaduna metropolis. Specifically, the study determine the use of the database packages by office professionals to enhance performance in selected organization in Kaduna metropolis, the use of Spreadsheet packages by office professionals to enhance performance in selected organization in Kaduna metropolis, the use of Word processing packages by office professionals to enhance performance in selected organization in Kaduna metropolis and the use of Communications software by office professionals to enhance performance in selected organization in Kaduna metropolis. Related literatures were reviewed. In order to achieve the purpose and objectives of this study, questionnaire was designed to get information from 100 respondents, and 82 were filled and completed which was used for the analysis. Findings from the research reveal that word processing software allows users to create and edit text documents, word processing is widely used for creating and editing written documents, word processing help an individual create and organize word documents that are attractive and readable. Therefore, the study recommends that Office managers/secretaries should make efforts for personal development and professional career growth in order to meet up with the ever-changing demand of the present day organizations.
