Abstract

This study examines the impact of cybercrime on Nigerian banks from 2020 to 2025. Using secondary data from CBN, NIBSS, and FITC reports, it analyzes financial losses exceeding N500 billion, operational disruptions, and trust erosion. Findings reveal phishing and insider threats as key culprits, with recommendations for stronger regulations and tech investments. The research adopts a descriptive approach, highlighting the need for multi-stakeholder collaboration to safeguard the sector.
