The media are known for their power in setting agenda for the public, and it was necessary to understand if they have adequately sensitised the public on the tax policy of Governor Peter Mbah. The public on their part have their ways of viewing and assessing the viability and non-viability of the media in handling issues in society. So, the ultimate aim in this study was to examine mass media coverage of traders’ perception of Governor Peter Mbah’s tax policy. The researcher adopted survey research method in carrying out the study. The analysis was done using descriptive statistics, and the hypotheses were analysed using the Chi-square formula. Findings from the study show that the media sensitise the public in Enugu metropolis on the economic advantages of the tax policy of Governor Peter Mbah, and that media reports have brought about attitudinal change towards the tax policy of Governor Peter Mbah among traders in Enugu metropolis. It was recommended that the government should properly equip and fund the media to aid its activities and improve its vibrancy as to engender reasonable contributions to economic development. Also, the media should work hand in-hand with relevant government agencies as to follow up the implementation of government policies as to give the public justification for tax payment
