SEMEN KINETIC OF GOAT SEMEN EXTENDED IN APPLE JUICE BASED EXTENDER
Abstract
This research was carried out to evaluate the effect of apple juice based extender on semen kinetic of goat semen. Semen of two sexually matured goats were collected with the aid of the Electro Ejaculator. Pooled Semen was allotted to five treatments of semen extenders as T1: 0.2ml Semen + 0.1ml Dextrose + 0.06 Apple, T2: 0.2ml Semen + 0.1ml Dextrose + 0.12 Apple, T3: 0.2ml Semen + 0.1ml Dextrose + 0.18 Apple, T4:0.2ml Semen + 0.1ml Dextrose + 0.24 Apple and T5: 0.2ml Semen + 0.1ml Dextrose (Control). Percentage motility, Progressive motility, Non- progressive motility, Curvilinear velocity, Average path velocity, Straight line velocity, Linearity, Straightness, Amplitude of lateral head, Beat cross frequency, Wobble, and Liveability were analyzed using computer-aided sperm analysis.
