Abstract

ABSTRACT Defilement has become a cankerworm that has eaten deep into the fabric of our society, silently corroding the values that hold us together as a people. It is a crime that not only violates the physical and emotional integrity of its victims but also strikes at the very heart of our collective future the children. These young ones, who represent the most treasured gift of any nation and the hope of tomorrow, are being subjected to unspeakable acts that leave lasting scars on their lives. As this menace continues to spread, it becomes clear that silence is no longer an option. The time has come for us to rise as a nation, with one voice and with unyielding resolve, to confront and uproot the prevalence of defilement from our communities. The protection of our children must become a national priority, for in safeguarding their innocence, we preserve the soul and future of our nation. Key Words: Overview,Legal, Defilement, Nigeria
