EFFECT OF PROCUREMENT STRATEGY ON PROFITABILITY OF NIGERIAN BOTTLING COMPANY MAIDUGURI

ABSTRACT The research work was focused on the effect of procurement strategy on profitability of Nigeria Bottling Company Maiduguri Plant. The research will be of significance to the various organization, the Nigeria Bottling Company Maiduguri Plant, as well as their procurement strategies; examine weather staff are involved in the procurement strategies in NBC Maiduguri Plant; assess the effect of procurement strategies/training adopted by NBC, examine the training procurement practices on staff knowledge and skills, literature were reviewed, the methodology adopted in carrying out this research project was survey research method, questionnaire were used on staff of Nigerian Bottling Company Maiduguri Plant, furthermore, the population of the study is fourty six (46) staff and also the sample size for the study is fourty (54) respondents, data presentation and analysis were drawn from the respondents. Finally, the researcher sought the following recommendations; the organization should focus on staff involving in the procurement strategies, management should examine and assess the effect of procurement strategies/training adopted, organization should also establish the training procurement practices on staff knowledge and skills.
